Studio 54 was originally known as the Gallo Opera House, which opened in 1927. The theater ownership and purpose changed several times before it became the famous Studio 54 nightclub from the late 1970's through 1986. Today, it is a Roundabout Theatre Company facility, home to musical and large-scale productions, with a seating capacity of 920.
